what will i study?
over 6 weeks, the course will cover 6 essential, interesting, accessible, and useful areas of philosophy:
week 1: existentialism
week 2: ethics
week 3: feminist philosophy
week 4: philosophy of race
week 5: post-structuralism
weel 6: interpretation (hermeneutics)
each class will have a brief required reading (as well as additional readings)

who is teaching the course?
classes are taught by aleks hammo
since 2018, aleks has hosted ‘aleks listens,’ a podcast which incluces many interviews with world-leading philosophers
in 2020, aleks received a first-class honours degree in philosophy (BA) from the university of melbourne
in 2019-20, aleks received a scholarship to pursue his philosophy studies at king’s college london, and university college london
in 2022, aleks will continue his studies in philosophy at the australian national university, ranked #5 in the world for philosophy
how long does each class run for?
75 minutes, and I’ll always hang around for questions after class 🤓
what structure will the class follow?
45 minutes of teaching, followed by 30 minutes of group discussion and questions
how big is each class?
