over 6 weeks, the course will cover 6 essential, interesting, accessible, and useful areas of philosophy:

week 1: existentialism

week 2: ethics

week 3: post-modernism 

week 4: feminism

week 5: post-colonial theory

week 6: interpretation & meaning

each class will have a brief required reading (as well as additional readings)

classes are taught by aleks hammo 

since 2018, aleks has hosted ‘aleks listens,’ a podcast which includes many interviews with world-leading philosophers

in 2020, aleks received a first-class honours degree in philosophy (BA) from the university of melbourne

in 2019-20, aleks received a scholarship to pursue his philosophy studies at king’s college london, and university college london

in 2022, aleks will continue his studies in philosophy at the australian national university, ranked #5 in the world for philosophy

120 minutes, and I’ll always hang around for questions after class 🤓

~120 minutes of seminar-style teaching: lecturing and discussion at the same time
